Making a Difference. An AED saved my life.

Happy New Year!

It's 2013 and over one year since my Sudden Cardiac Arrest. I am so thankful that I am still here today.

I have been volunteering with the Heart & Stroke Foundation to make a difference in the community. I am now a spokesperson and an advocate for automated external defibrillators (AED).  By sharing my story, I can help save more lives.

Recently, the British Columbia Public Access to Defibrillation Program (BC PADS) was launched at the downtown Vancouver Public Library and I got to be part of it by speaking (sharing my Sudden Cardiac Arrest story) along with the Minister of Health, CEO of HSF, BC Ambulance Services, the Vancouver City Councilor & IRIDIA. With this program, the Government and the Heart & Stroke Foundation are each contributing $1 million to install 450 defibrillators in public buildings! (community centers, arenas, library, etc )

A lot of media were there too!

Our story was in:
